An isopach represents the variation of thickness within a tubular unit. This isopach map represents a picture of a gas field. It shows the thickness of the sandstone in which they go through in order to get to the oil. The hottest and thickest levels are in the center pink areas at 45 feet and thins out to 20 feet in the blue areas.
